A non-profit foundation dedicated to transforming lives through social services, community support, and intergenerational solidarity.
Founded in 1997, Veritas Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Sighisoara, Romania. Our mission is to provide social assistance and support to vulnerable groups in our community — children from disadvantaged families, adults with disabilities, elderly people, and those in need of a warm meal.
We believe that every person deserves dignity, care, and the opportunity to thrive. Through our four core services and the special "Generations" project, we touch the lives of over 150 people every day.

Supporting 35 children aged 7-18 from disadvantaged families with educational activities, psychological counseling, hot meals, and a safe nurturing environment four days a week.

We are honored to run the 6th edition of the Generations Project, initiated by the Royal Margareta Foundation of Romania and supported by Hochland Romania. Over six years, more than 150 children and 20 senior volunteers have connected through 16 diverse workshops held over 10 months each year.
Throughout the years, children have benefited from workshops in: personal development, homework support, ecology and gardening, financial education, sports, music and dance, theater, artistic creation, crafts, cooking, science, IT, fun math, local history, health education and first aid.
The project also includes educational trips, celebrating important days such as Earth Day, Intergenerational Solidarity Day, Children's Day, Elderly Day, Volunteer Day, and Open Doors Day. In the last two years we also celebrate the children's birthdays together with seniors and staff.
The project is all the more valuable because the transfer of knowledge, joy, and fulfillment is reciprocal. Seniors spend their time meaningfully, sharing their knowledge and talents. Children in turn develop harmoniously thanks to the patience and dedication of seniors, benefiting from a valuable grandparent-grandchild relationship.

From community care to fighting domestic violence — our reach across the community.
The Edelweiss community service for preventing and combating domestic violence has assisted over 18 years (2003-2021) a total of 1,537 people.
Services offered included: social assistance, psychological and legal counseling, and psychotherapy. Prevention activities in schools and high schools, as well as training for teachers, medical staff, lawyers, police officers, and prosecutors, have raised community awareness about the phenomenon of violence.
